Ndovu Cement, a subsidiary of Karsan Ramji & Sons Ltd together with Purple Dot International Ltd affirmed their commitment to support a local community healthcare initiative by the Swaminarayan Hospital Langata, which aims to conduct 200 Minor Surgical Operations at no cost later this month.
The Level 3 hospital has roped in support from several companies including Ndovu Cement and Purple Dot International Ltd who have jointly sponsored their team dubbed ‘Purple Ndovus’ for the Swaminarayan Pro Twenty Cricket Tournament which kicked off on October 29th at the Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj Grounds in Nairobi West.
The hospital has in recent years undertaken several community projects in the area and aims to impact even more lives with this free 200-operations healthcare drive.
Speaking at an investors event earlier this month, Purple Dot International’s General Manager Jiten Kerai stated ‘With healthcare being such a vital part of our communities and daily lives, it gives our Board, Management, Investors, Partners, and teams a great sense of fulfillment with giving back in a way that impacts so many lives. The inaugural Swaminarayan Pro Twenty will host 6 teams set to participate in the high-energy cricket event starting Saturday, 29th October to Saturday 12th November 2022.
The games are a 20-over competition, with teams playing each other in a round-robin format, collecting 2 points with every win, and with the top four teams progressing to semis. The winners of the semis will then battle it out in the Super Finale.
Each team will consist of 15 Players – 1 Ex-International player, 1 Kenyan National Icon Player (Captain), 1, Indian local league player, 1 NPCA league overseas professional player, 5 Kenyan National team players
6 NPCA League players with a coach and a team manager being allocated to each team.
