Purple Dot and Mizizi Wellness team up to empower women in construction.
Purple Dot International, one of Kenya’s leading real estate developers, has partnered with Mizizi Wellness, an organization dedicated to women’s health and empowerment, to promote menstrual wellness among women working in construction.
Empowering Women on Site
The collaboration saw Mizizi Wellness donate menstrual cups to Purple Dot’s female construction workers — an initiative aimed at fostering dignity, comfort, and sustainable health practices within the workplace.
Held at Purple Dot’s Marigold II project site in Langata, the event extended beyond a donation drive. The Mizizi Wellness team led a comprehensive and interactive session, offering hands-on training on the use and benefits of menstrual cups.
The goal: to ensure that women working in physically demanding environments can manage their menstrual health confidently and comfortably, without disruption to their work or dignity.
“We are thrilled to partner with Purple Dot International, an organization that clearly prioritizes the well-being of its female workforce,” said Cathy Magua, Founder of Mizizi Wellness.
“Empowering these women with knowledge and access to sustainable menstrual health solutions promotes dignity, health, and productivity. This is the kind of proactive approach to workplace wellness that should inspire other industries.”

A Culture of Care and Inclusion
Purple Dot International reaffirmed that its commitment extends beyond building projects — it’s about building people. The company continues to champion inclusion and holistic wellness across its workforce, especially for women breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields such as construction.
Menstrual cups, being reusable and environmentally friendly, offer a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to disposable products — particularly valuable on construction sites where access to facilities may be limited.
“Supporting our women in construction goes beyond fair employment — it’s about creating an environment where they can thrive,” said Yolanda, PR Head Purple Dot International.
“Our partnership with Mizizi Wellness reflects our belief in empowering women not only professionally, but personally as well.”
A Lasting Partnership for Change
Now in its second consecutive year of partnering with women’s wellness organizations, Purple Dot International continues to lead by example, advocating for gender inclusivity and comprehensive employee welfare in Kenya’s real estate and construction sectors.
This initiative underscores a shared vision — to create workplaces where every woman can work with dignity, confidence, and comfort, regardless of the industry she’s in.
